UW-Whitewater NAfME

The National Association for Music Education - Collegiate organization is a group dedicated to assisting future music educators and providing the community with music learning opportunities. We provide and encourage networking and professional development opportunities for music education students in our chapter through guest speakers and conferences. We also provide music learning opportunities for the community through public events that allow our music education students the opportunity to teach and work with children in ways that are like their future careers.

Members Benefits

Members of the National Association for Music Education - Collegiate will benefit from the organization in a variety of ways. NAfME Collegiate provides opportunities for future music educators to learn about and experience music education before getting into the classroom, creating educators that are more ready for their careers. In addition, NAfME Collegiate provides opportunities for future music educators to connect with current teachers and current future music educators, allowing the sharing of ideas. Members have more connections within the field before getting their jobs, which gives them more resources to create a better learning experience for students.
