WMEA Scholarship

We offer scholarships to pay you back for WMEA’s cost!

The scholarship is available to 2-3 people to cover your WMEA Registration costs
-
We will send this scholarship application out AFTER conference, and it will be due November 4th
-
You will write about things you learned at conference and about your experience as a whole
-
You should be taking notes at all the sessions you attend! We will upload notes into a shared place so everyone has access to the information from all sessions!

You MUST stage manage a minimum of one time this year

Opportunity for NAfME members to teach lessons, work with kids, and get ED Hours

Sunday, February 9th @ Rock County

*set up at 8 am, clean up after recital at 1:30

Saturday, February 15th @ UW-W Center of the Arts

*set up on Friday, Feb 14th in the evening

*TBD: "Dress Rehearsal" for teachers to run activities for other volunteers and for everyone to earn the group song

Campers attend from 10 am- 2 pm each day

Volunteers

Guide- lead students between activities, build positive group environment (4 groups, need 8 guides)
-
Teacher- co-create lesson plans, co-teach activities to students as they rotate throughout the day, create positive classroom environment (3 classrooms, need 6 teachers, plus Instrumental Petting Zoo)

*taking MUSED Ed. Ped or Methods, MUST have a background check
-

Room Assistants- assist classroom, model and encourage participation (1 per room)
-
Registration- get families check in, watch belongings throughout the day, help with first aid, direct families at the end of the day (need 2 volunteers)
-
Photographer- taking pictures throughout the day, create a slideshow for parents (need 1-2 photographers)
-
Floaters- help as needed, assist with bathroom breaks etc.
-
Set Up/Take Down- self explanatory! Everyone should help with this!
