Roberta’s Art Gallery is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the 2025–26 Academic Year!This position may include summer opportunities.
Roberta’s Art Gallery, located within the University Center at UW-Whitewater, provides engaging visual art experiences that foster creativity, inclusion, and connection within the campus community. The Graduate Assistant (GA) supports the day-to-day operations of the gallery, assists with coordinating exhibitions, artist receptions, and student art programs, and helps promote the gallery through marketing and social media initiatives.
This 20-hour per week, in-person position is ideal for a graduate student interested in arts administration, event coordination, marketing, or student development. The GA will gain hands-on experience in gallery management, artist relations, exhibition design, and leadership through direct collaboration with University Center staff and student employees.
Position Highlights:
• Assist with curating, planning, and installing art exhibitions
• Coordinate artist receptions, workshops, and special programs
• Supervise and mentor student gallery assistants
• Develop promotional content and manage the gallery’s social media presence
• Support daily gallery operations and maintain professional presentation standards
Qualifications:
• Enrollment in a UW-Whitewater graduate program
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Interest in the arts, creative programming, or event management
