UW-Whitewater’s SHRM chapter is an affiliate of the national SHRM chapter. We meet every Tuesday from 5:15 to 6:15 and promote HR as a major, minor, and emphasis. We strive to keep students up to date on new developments in the field and inform students on continuing education opportunities. Outside of our meetings, we aspire to connect members with others both personally and professionally and provide students with the opportunity to build their own network in the HR industry.
1. Weekly meetings that include guest speakers, member bonding, and networking events. 2. Events and opportunities outside of weekly meetings to grow students networks. 3. A group of like-minded individuals that can be personal and professional connections outside of our weekly meetings. 4. Opportunities to grow within our organization, and hold leadership roles.
