Mission
The Club Sports program at UW-Whitewater is designed to provide the opportunity for students, faculty and staff to participate in a variety of competitive, instructional and recreational activities. Each club is formed, organized, governed and facilitated by students under the guidelines established by the Office of Recreation Sports and Facilities and Student Involvement Office.

All Club Sports teams/groups are recognized student organizations and day-to-day operations are facilitated by student leaders. UW-Whitewater currently has over 30 individual club teams. Club Sports currently has over 30 club teams, with many of them having competitive and recreational components. The One Stop supports student success by providing information and connection to campus resources. We strive to provide convenient, accessible, and solution-centered customer service to UW-Whitewater students. An extension of many campus services, we are equipped to provide one-on-one support regarding financial aid/services, scholarships, advising appointments, course registration and more. If we can’t provide an answer, we will direct students – on the spot – to the right office or to people who can assist.

Established in 2008, the PB Poorman Pride Center aims to offer an open and welcoming space for all LGBTQ+ and ally students to relax, study, and socialize. The Center employs student leaders to support the development of LGBTQ+ life and programming on campus, and to encourage mentorship. The staff recognizes the range of diversity and multiple, intersecting identities that make up the LGBTQ+ community, and strive to apply this understanding to all aspects of outreach and collaboration.

Mission
The Peer Engagement Program was created as a way to help anxious, introverted or neurodivergent students connect to one another and have a group of individuals with whom they can attend campus events. The end goal is to increase feelings of belonging, campus event participation and attendance, and help students feel like they belong at UW-Whitewater. This grant allows us to provide compensation, training, and materials without straining an individual department’s funding. The Peer Engagement Leader will learn how neurodivergent brains function differently when faced with overstimulating or overwhelming environments and how to help deter and manage meltdowns or high emotion moments. Training will be collaboratively created by the Center of Students with Disabilities, University Health and Counseling Services, the Dean of Students, and First Year Experience. Peer Leaders will either pre-select campus events and provide dates and information ahead of time, or ask students to submit for the events they’d like the group to participate in together. This program will provide multiple avenues for students to get connected and interact with others while on campus. The Peer Engagement Program directly aligns with Chancellor Corey A. King’s mission to increase and maintain student retention on campus. The more students feel a sense of belonging and feel seen on campus, the more likely they are to remain students at UW-Whitewater until they graduate.

The UW-Whitewater Sustainability Office strives to improve the education and awareness of environmental sustainability issues in our academic curriculum, student life, campus operations, and local community.

Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join our group to follow along with our event schedule. Most Sustainability Office events occur in October as part of Campus Sustainability Month and April as part of Earth Month. A variety of volunteer activities are offered by the Sustainability Office throughout the year, including the Campus Garden, Upham Greenhouse, Prairie Seed Collection, and Stream Monitoring. There are also opportunities to get involved in various campus sustainability projects through the Sustainability Committee and the various student organizations involved in sustainability across campus.

Members will receive a monthly newsletter with news, events, and activities offered by the Sustainability Office. A variety of community service/volunteer opportunities will be offered throughout the year.

This 3-day program held in August is aimed at first-year students who expressed an interest in getting involved and succeeding on campus. The program focuses on providing knowledge and experiences that will assist first-year students adapt to become successful Warhawks!

ULEAD's key components are learning opportunities about ethical leadership, connecting with others, and involvement plan and learning more about our campus and community. The participants also engage in a community service project.
