The University of Wisconsin Whitewater Ducks Unlimited Chapter raises money for the Ducks Unlimited organization which uses those funds to conserve waterfowl habitat all over the country to help preserve the population of waterfowl. Nationally recognized, the UW-Whitewater Forensics Team wins over 100 awards annually in all three areas: limited preparation, public address and interpretation. Members of the team come from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skill level. Students on the UWW Team have come from small high school programs to larger high school programs. Some found forensics in college!

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Game and Media Entertainment Developers (GAMED) provides its members with opportunities to develop skills and practices for making games and other interactive media. This organization is open to anybody of any experience level; our members include experienced programmers, visual artists, game designers, writers, composers, and audio designers who are always happy to support new members. That means that no matter what part(s) of the game development process you're interested in, we've got your back. Royal Purple is the weekly campus and community student-run newspaper at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. It provides information for students, faculty, staff and citizens about news and entertainment, as well as serving as an open forum for opinions. Royal Purple is supported by advertising from area businesses, campus programs and community organizations. The printed and online newspaper creates a laboratory learning experience for students to establish a permanent record of contemporary events throughout the campus and city. Royal Purple has editorial and advertising and multimedia student staff. It is guided by a faculty adviser with the support of an administrative assistant through the Department of Communication in the College of Arts & Communication.
Royal Purple will strive to present the news in an objective manner. The writers will be encouraged to research the views, policies or actions that are being reported. Opinions will belong only to sources and will be clearly attributed. Royal Purple will use fairness, impartiality, accuracy, truthfulness and responsibility in presenting ideas to its readers without editorializing. The staff retains the right to choose content and to determine the priority of stories for its readers. No other individuals have the right to review or censor the content of the Royal Purple prior to publication.
Royal Purple is published every Monday in print and online during the academic school year. A circulation of 5,000 newspapers are delivered to 75 news stands in high-traffic locations across the university and in the city of Whitewater, except in cases of severe weather or security alerts.
